The Employee Annual Meeting (TEAM) Contests / AwardsOther contests we have conducted include the development of a "pretend" Request for Proposal (RFP). Project site team members are purposely separated, representing another project within the company as if they were a company representative of that company (project). Several tables of 5-6 companies representatives are formed. Each company only some of the qualifications needed to bid and win the RFP, hence the negotiating begins, Some of the company representatives get squeezed out, others are forced to bargain for "less pie", and then they form their final "bid" team and begin the proposal to answer the RFP. An evaluation team is formed of the more experienced proposal writers to evaluate the bids. The winning team of "companies" (employees) are funded to attend the annual National Center for Employee Ownership conference for three days at the company's expense.
